Recipe: Triple Threat Coffee Cocktail

This lower carb craft cocktail really let’s the coffee shine. I just absolutely love the way bourbon and coffee taste together! The coffee liqueur and whipped cream add a subtle sweetness, but if you’ve got a sweet tooth, you’ll want to add a bit of sugar or sweetener of choice.

For the whipped cream I used my fancy new whipped cream maker and combined heavy whipping cream and my vanilla almond honey (because it so perfectly pairs with coffee) but you can make your own with a hand held frother, here's how

To a cup:

  • add 1/4 cup heavy cream to cup
  • add 2 TBSP honey
  • add a dash of vanilla extract
  • add a couple drops of almond extract
  • froth until it’s doubled in volume and set aside

For the coffee foam (Dalgona) topping: 
To a separate small cup:

  • add 1 tsp instant coffee
  • add 1 tsp sugar
  • add 1 tbsp hot water
  • Froth until foam forms and set aside

To your mug add the following:

  • 1-2oz premium bourbon
  • 1 1/2 oz coffee liqueur
  • 6 oz hot brewed Smart Owl Digest Blend
  • Add layer of whipped cream
  • Top with dalgona coffee foam and become mesmerized by the transformation🤩
