Swiss Decaf, Medium Ground Organic Coffee
About the Bean: A combination of 100% arabica Sumatran and Peruvian beans, whose complementary flavors merge masterfully in this medium/dark, low acid roast coffee. No caffeine. The Swiss water process is a means of decaffeinating coffee without eliminating any of its desirable elements, such as flavor and aroma, so you can enjoy the luscious, authentic taste of coffee without that caffeine kick that follows.
Tasting Notes: Soft, nutty undertones from the Brazilian beans mixed with the earthy, rustic flavors that Indonesian beans are notorious for, topped with cinnamon- make for a world class decaf you'll definitely want more of.
Delectably creamy flavor reminds us subtly of freshly baked cinnamon rolls (and it smells so good, too). Low-acidity makes this blend smooth and easy on the stomach. This organic coffee blend is infused with ingredients proven to aid in digestion, making it a perfect after lunch or dinner coffee. Paired with a little Irish Cream... it makes a heavenly desert!

Cinnamon is a bark that tastes great in coffee and is loaded with antioxidants. This bark exhibits a couple of beneficial effects when consumed. The first is its powerful anti inflammatory properties. These properties are thought to aid in digestion and prevent indigestion and heartburn. Another advantage of using cinnamon with meals is its ability to control blood sugar levels and regulate glycemic index. Some studies show that cinnamon consumption can lower blood sugar by over 20%, helping you to avoid that "crash" that sometimes comes following a meal.
L-Glutamine is a semi-essential amino acid that plays an important role in the regulation of tight junctions and reducing permeability of both the small and large intestine. It is important in preventing bacteria from entering through the intestinal wall. When L-Glutamine levels are low you are at risk for developing Leaky gut syndrome, IBS and IBD.
Tumeric is a flowering plant which is harvested for its rhizomes, which contain polyphenols, the most notable of which is curcumin. Curcumin has many pharmacological properties and potential health benefits. A powerful antioxidant, curcumin is a popular digestive healing agent used in ayurvedic medicine. It's anti-inflammatory properties arise from its ability to reduce NF-kB( nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells) which regulate cellular activity involving inflammation and cell survival. Studies also support the potential use for Tumeric in reducing symptoms of IBS.
L- Theanine is the main ingredient in our Cognition Blend due to its focus amplifying effects. This amino acid not only amplifies beneficial non-excitatory neurotransmitters, namely GABA, dopamine and serotonin, but also plays a role in immune regulation and digestion. This unique amino acid was added to the Digestive Blend due to its ability to increase healing and absorption in the GI tract. Studies show that L-Theanine improves gastric ulcers that were caused by using common NSAIDs. There is also evidence in animal models that L-Theanine increases intestinal transporters in the small intestine, which basically leads to better absorption of nutrients.
