A Powerful Dirty Mate Chai Custom Blend with a lovely punch of tropical fruits
We are so excited to collaborate with Whimsy Tea (also of Springfield, IL) for this limited-edition, specialty dirty chai blend, inspired by our Spiced Mocha Rose!
ABOUT THE BLEND: Ronin Chia was hand blended by Whimsy Tea using Smart Owl Spiced Mocha Rose, which is our 100% organic, arabica, direct-trade, single-origin coffee grown at a high elevation (approx 4,500 ft) in Nicaragua.
The components of Smart Owl's Spiced Mocha Rose are perfectly suited for a Chai, which as a rule has spicy flavors of cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger.
You can expect those standard chai aromatics, but add the richness of cacao, almond, and coffee, then the unexpected sweetness of pineapple, papaya, and mango. Finish with a subtle warming from the cayenne. The body and distinctive character that we have achieved by combining Mocha Rose with select tea infusions is truly a unique experience.
THE BENEFITS: With an anti-inflammatory supplement line-up that includes great-tasting and powerful antioxidants like rooiboos tea, cinnamon, cacao, cardamom, monk fruit, rose hips and cayenne, this blend is sure to put an extra hop in your step and a smile on your face. PLUS you'll enjoy a vitamin D boost to get you through the winter.*
THE ENERGY: The yerba mate tea was chosen because it has relatively the same caffeine content as regular coffee, but is enhanced by the natural occurrence of theobromine and theophylline, which provide a more balanced, natural energy cocktail. Then, of coarse, L-theanine infused coffee to combat caffeine jitters, crash, and anxiety. Expect about the same caffeine content of a regular cup of coffee, but without the unwanted caffeine effects.
